It feels high conviction when fully embodying the tenets that fulfill you. However, people often aren’t aware of how bought in they are to each of the tenets they’ve identified as fulfilling. This is bad because people may struggle with adversity if their convictions waver. The exercises in this chapter help you fully embody your tenets to bolster/strengthen your convictions. If you feel resistance to doing so, motivate yourself to continue overcoming your derailing tenets.

One difference between avoiding and overcoming tenets is that the former takes constant effort. Another difference is when you just avoid tenets, you are still at risk of being derailed by them.
